Changing and cancelling a plan
Move to a higher plan right away, to a lower one from the end of the billing period, or cancel your subscription.
Everything about your plan is in Settings → Subscription: your current plan, limit usage, extra storage, billing details and payment history. Only the studio owner sees this section.
Higher plan
A higher plan or a longer billing period (from monthly to yearly) takes effect right away. Before you confirm, the panel shows how much you pay now and how much the next payment will be. The charge is taken right away from the card saved with your plan, and the new plan works once it is paid.
- A higher plan in the same period (e.g. Starter → Pro, both monthly): you pay pro rata for the time until the end of the current period, and your billing date doesn’t change.
- From monthly to yearly: the new year starts on the day of the change. You pay the yearly price minus the unused part of the month, and the next payment is due in a year.
If your bank asks for confirmation, the panel opens its window. If the card declines the payment, you stay on your current plan: update your card or pay on the Stripe page. If a plan payment is overdue, settle it first.
Lower plan
A lower plan takes effect from the end of the current billing period; until then you keep using the plan you paid for. The panel shows the effects of the change: the new storage, team and gallery limits and, if relevant, a higher commission on extra photo sales.
If your usage exceeds the limits of the lower plan (for example more people on the team or more data), the panel blocks the change and lists what you need to reduce first.
A scheduled change has the “Plan change scheduled” badge on screen. You can undo it with the “Undo plan change” button. While a change or a cancellation is pending, you can’t make other plan changes.
Extra storage and plan changes
Extra storage packs move to the new plan in the same number, including when you change the billing period (at the pack price for the new period). While a plan change is scheduled, you can buy and reduce packs as usual.
Promo code
Enter a code for your paid plan in the field next to your current plan and click “Check code”: the panel shows what the code gives and for how long. “Apply code to plan” adds the discount to your subscription. A code for storage packs only is entered when you buy a pack. More: Plans, prices and extra storage.
Cancelling a plan
“Cancel plan” ends your subscription at the end of the paid period. Until then you use the plan as normal, and afterwards the studio goes back to the Free plan. The confirmation window shows the date, the Free plan commission and what exceeds its limits. Nothing is deleted, but new files over the limit can’t be uploaded.
While the paid period lasts, “Reactivate plan” restores your subscription.
Overdue payment
If charging your card fails, the panel shows the “Your plan payment failed” banner with an “Update payment” button. We retry for 7 days; if the payment still doesn’t go through, the studio goes back to the Free plan, without deleting any data. You change your card in a secure Stripe form.
Payment history and invoices
“Payment history” lists all plan charges, with their status and a PDF invoice (credit notes included). An invoice with an EU VAT number, which we check in VIES, has the “Waiting for VAT number check” status for a few days, as described in the article about plans.
Withdrawing within 14 days
If you buy a plan as a consumer (a private person without a business) or as a natural person for whom the agreement is not professional in nature, you can withdraw within 14 days of the purchase without giving a reason. At checkout you tick the consent: you accept the Terms and ask for the plan to work right away. A confirmation of the agreement arrives by e-mail.
On the subscription screen, the “Agreement and right of withdrawal” card shows the date of the agreement, the last day to withdraw and today’s refund amount. The “Withdraw from the agreement” button ends the subscription right away, the studio returns to the Free plan and the refund goes to the card used for payment. Because the plan worked from day one, you pay only for the time used until withdrawal; we refund the rest. Correcting invoices follow. The rules are in the Terms, §9. A studio run by a company does not have this right and cancels the plan at the end of the paid period.
Commission invoices
On plans with a commission (Free and Starter) Flyp charges a commission on extra photo sales in the gallery. The commission is settled monthly: by the 12th of the following month we issue one collective invoice with all payments of that month and send it by e-mail. You will also find the invoices on the subscription screen, in the “Commission invoices” card. When you refund a client from the panel, the commission comes back to you and a correcting invoice follows. VAT on the invoice is the same as for the plan: Polish VAT for a studio in Poland and for an EU studio without an EU VAT number, reverse charge for an EU business with an EU VAT number, no VAT outside the EU.
