Step-by-step Flyp guides: your offer and online booking, sessions, client galleries, payments, contracts with signatures and studio settings.
Getting started
- Start here: your first 30 minutes in Flyp: Eight steps from a freshly created studio to a booking page, your first session and your first gallery. Each one takes you straight to the right screen.
- How to set up a studio in Flyp: The wizard walks you through eight steps: from your studio name and country, through your offer, to choosing a plan.
- Branding: studio logo and colour: Upload your logo in three variants and pick the colour your clients see on your studio pages, in galleries and in emails.
- Team, invitations and roles: Invite collaborators, give them a role and fine-tune exactly what they can do in the panel.
- Plans, prices and extra storage: The four plans differ in storage, team size, galleries per session and the commission on extra photo sales. This is also where you’ll find the launch price, currency, VAT and promo codes.
- Dashboard and analytics: What the dashboard shows after you sign in, where to check revenue, bookings and traffic on your studio pages, and who can see amounts.
- Test studio: A separate studio for trying Flyp from the client’s side, with pretend payments. It doesn’t use up your studio’s limits.
Your offer
- Session types and packages: Build your offer: session types with online booking rules and the price packages assigned to them.
- Availability and calendar: Set working hours and exceptions, the availability of photographers on your team, and browse sessions in the calendar.
- Google Calendar and the iCal feed: Connect Google Calendar so your sessions and private events see each other, or subscribe to your sessions in any calendar through the iCal feed.
- Add-on products: albums, prints and InPost shipping: Sell albums, prints and extra retouching to your clients. Clients order in the gallery or in the client portal, and you ship to an InPost Paczkomat® 24/7, by courier or hand the order over in person.
- Vouchers and discount coupons: A voucher is a gift worth a specific amount, a coupon is a discount code. You handle them in two separate places in the panel.
Bookings and clients
- Online booking: Set up your booking page and the rules for clients booking dates themselves, and handle requests in Bookings.
- Clients and the client portal: Your studio’s client list, message language, marketing consent, deletion and anonymisation, and what clients see after signing in to their portal.
- Questionnaires: Collect information from clients before the session with a form they fill in without signing in.
- Automations: Scenarios that, after an event in your studio (such as a confirmed booking), send an email, assign a questionnaire or change the session status on their own.
- Notifications, email design and language: Which messages Flyp sends to clients and your team, what they look like, who they come from and in which language.
- Client reviews: Flyp asks clients for a review after they receive their photos and shows the reviews on your studio page. You reply to them publicly and send clients on to Google.
Sessions
- New session and its details: How to add a session in the panel, set up a custom package, a day plan and a photo delivery deadline, and how the session status changes on its own.
- Linked sessions: Link several sessions from one order, such as an engagement shoot and an after-wedding shoot with wedding coverage.
Galleries
Payments and invoices
- Online payments with Stripe Connect: Connect Stripe once in Settings, and clients pay for a booking, an instalment or extra photos directly on your studio pages.
- Payment schedule for a session type: Set for each session type whether the client pays in full upfront, an advance payment or deposit plus the rest, or a custom set of instalments. Flyp sends reminders about due dates.
- Payments, refunds and payment documents: How to settle a session (cash payment, voucher, discount code), refund a payment, send the client a payment confirmation and prepare a statement for your accountant.
- Your own payment provider and PayU: On the Pro and Studio plans you can connect your own Stripe, Przelewy24, PayU, Tpay, Revolut or PayPal account. On any plan you can register with PayU through Flyp.
- Invoices: inFakt, iFirma and Fakturownia: Flyp doesn’t issue invoices on its own: on the Pro and Studio plans you connect invoicing software, and invoices for clients are created once a session is paid.
Contracts and documents
- Contract templates: Prepare your contract text once, with merge fields and allowed signature methods, and reuse it across many sessions.
- Signing contracts and paper contracts: Assign a template to a session, send the client a link and sign the contract as the studio, or record a contract signed on paper.
- Consumer rights for purchases from your studio: Which statements the client makes for a booking, voucher, photos and products, what they receive by email and where you can see the accepted version of your terms.
- GDPR and legal documents: The data processing agreement, the list of subprocessors, the details of Flyp’s operator and the templates for your studio’s documents.
