Plans, prices and extra storage
The four plans differ in storage, team size, galleries per session and the commission on extra photo sales. This is also where you’ll find the launch price, currency, VAT and promo codes.
Flyp has four plans: Free, Starter, Pro and Studio. Current amounts in your studio’s currency are on the pricing page.
How the plans differ
- Free: 10 GB of storage, owner only, 1 gallery per session, 10% commission on extra photo sales,
- Starter: 400 GB, owner only, 1 gallery per session, 5% commission,
- Pro: 1 TB, 2 people on the team, unlimited galleries per session, no commission,
- Studio: 3 TB, 5 people on the team, unlimited galleries per session, no commission.
The Pro and Studio plans also include an invoicing software integration, your own payment provider and the option to turn off the Flyp badge for clients. Flyp only takes a commission on extra photo sales in a gallery, never on session payments or add-on products.
Launch price for the first 100 studios
The first 100 studios to pay for a paid plan get it at a launch price, lower than the target price. The price stays with the studio for as long as the subscription runs, including when you move to a higher or lower plan. If you cancel the plan and buy again later, the target price applies. The Free plan doesn’t take a place in the pool.
Yearly billing
You can pay for any paid plan monthly or yearly. A year costs the same as ten months.
Plan currency
Your studio’s country sets the currency of your plan and extra storage: studios in Poland pay in złoty, studios in the United States in US dollars, and studios in every other country in euro. Amounts are set separately for each currency, not converted at an exchange rate. A paid subscription stays in the currency it was bought in, including when you change plans or reactivate.
This is not the same as the currency you bill your own clients in: that one comes from the country chosen in the setup wizard.
Prices and VAT
Plan and extra storage prices are gross, so they are the amount you pay. How much of it is VAT depends on the buying studio:
- a studio in Poland: the price includes 23% VAT,
- a studio in another EU country without an EU VAT number: the price includes 23% VAT,
- a business in another EU country with an EU VAT number: the same amount, with an invoice without VAT (reverse charge),
- a studio outside the EU: the same amount, with an invoice without VAT.
Adding a VAT number is optional: in the payment window, by choosing to purchase as a business, or in Settings → Subscription, under “Billing details”. We check EU VAT numbers in the VIES system, and you see the status (checking, confirmed, rejected) next to the number. While the check is running, the invoice in “Payment history” has the “Waiting for VAT number check” status; it is issued within 7 days at the latest, and if VIES doesn’t confirm the number, with 23% VAT. Invoices are issued automatically after every payment.
Extra storage
When you run out of space, you don’t have to change plans right away: you can add +250 GB or +1 TB packs to a paid plan, up to 50 of each. On a yearly plan a pack costs ten times the monthly price.
- Buying: in Settings → Subscription, under “Extra storage”. Before you buy, you see the charge for the time left in the current period; it is taken right away from the card saved with your plan. The space is added once the payment goes through.
- Billing: packs renew together with your plan, on the same invoice.
- Cancelling: fewer packs take effect from the end of the paid period, without a refund. If your files then exceed the limit, uploading new files is blocked, but nothing is deleted.
- Changing plans: packs stay when you change your plan or billing period. The Free plan has no packs, and cancelling a paid plan ends them with it. You can’t buy packs while your plan is cancelled or a payment is overdue.
Have a promo code?
A code gives a percentage discount, a fixed amount off or free months, and applies to the subscription, to storage packs or to both. Where to enter it:
- setting up a studio: in the “Summary” step of the wizard, on a paid plan,
- buying a plan in Settings: in the “Have a promo code?” field above the plan cards, with the “Apply” button,
- already paying for a plan: in the field next to your current plan, “Check code”, then “Apply code to plan”,
- buying extra storage: in the pack purchase window; you see the discount in the amount due.
The panel shows what the code gives and for how long, or explains why it doesn’t work: a code may apply only to the subscription or only to packs, to selected plans or to one billing period, it may have an expiry date, a use limit or an amount in a different currency, or be only for studios buying a plan for the first time. The discount is shown on the invoice.
Changing plans, cancelling and payment history are covered in Changing and cancelling a plan.
