Client reviews
Flyp asks clients for a review after they receive their photos and shows the reviews on your studio page. You reply to them publicly and send clients on to Google.
You collect reviews in Flyp, independently of Google and Facebook. All of them are in Reviews, and the settings are in Settings → Client reviews.
When clients get a request
With “Send review requests automatically” on (it is by default), the request goes out 3 days after the first photo download from the gallery or 7 days after the final gallery is shared, whichever comes first. The email arrives between 10:00 and 20:00. Each person in the session with an email address gets one request, with no reminders.
You can also send a request by hand: in the session details, on the “Client review” card, with the “Ask for a review” button.
What the client does
The client gives a rating from 1 to 5 stars and writes a few sentences. They decide on publication themselves: signed with their first name and last initial, anonymously or visible to the studio only. They can withdraw their consent to publication later.
Google reviews
In the settings, enter your Google Business Profile “Google Place ID” and check it with the “Test the link” button. After leaving a review in Flyp, the client sees an “Add a review on Google” button. It shows for every rating, including low ones, because Google’s rules forbid asking only happy clients for reviews.
Replies and hiding
You can reply to any review with the “Respond” button; your reply is public. You can’t edit or delete reviews. You can only hide one for one of three reasons: offensive or unlawful content, personal data of third parties, or a review that isn’t about the service. A low rating is not a reason to hide a review.
On your studio page
Reviews are visible from the first one, and the average and number of ratings from three. The page states that reviews come only from clients who received their gallery in Flyp.
