Online booking
Set up your booking page and the rules for clients booking dates themselves, and handle requests in Bookings.
Your booking page is a public address where clients book sessions themselves. The “Your booking page” card at the top of Availability shows whether it is ready: the page address, at least one active, visible session type with a package, and working hours. Stripe payments are optional and only needed for online payments.
Booking settings
On the “Booking settings” card:
- “Online booking” turns on accepting bookings,
- “Requires approval”: every request waits for your decision; without it, bookings confirm themselves,
- buffer between sessions (30 minutes by default), minimum notice in hours (24 by default) and maximum advance booking in days: 730 by default, at most 1095, and a hint shows the furthest date,
- how often a session can start (every 15 minutes by default),
- a welcome message and a confirmation message.
The client accepts your studio terms with every booking. When the date is within 14 days, or with a deposit, they also request that the service start before the withdrawal period ends: Consumer rights for purchases from your studio.
What happens after a booking
It depends on your settings and on the payment:
- with approval (or when the client proposes their own date): the request has the “Pending” status and waits for your “Confirm” or “Reject”,
- without approval and without an online payment: the booking is “Confirmed” right away, and the session is created automatically,
- without approval, with an online payment: the status is “Awaiting payment”. The date is held for the client for about 30 minutes. After payment the booking confirms itself; without it, the booking expires and the date goes back into the pool. You don’t have to do anything; you can also click “Confirm without waiting for payment”.
The date mode of each session type (a specific time, a full day, a client proposal) is covered in Session types and packages.
Bookings
All requests are in Bookings, with the client, session, date, payment and status. A confirmed booking creates a session. You can also:
- reject a request with a reason; the client’s payment is refunded automatically,
- cancel a confirmed booking; you refund the payment by ticking “Refund the client’s payment”,
- mark the client as a no-show,
- send a payment link for a confirmed, unpaid booking.
If a refund fails, the panel asks you to settle the payment with the client yourself.
Link to your booking page
On the “Your booking page” card, the “Copy link” button copies the address in the format flyp.pl/s/your-studio/book, which you can paste on your website, on social media or send to a client. The “Booking page” button opens it, so you can see it through your client’s eyes.
Your page in search engines
When online booking is on, your studio page, booking page and vouchers appear in Google and other search engines. Don’t want that? In Settings → Studio profile, turn off “Show my page in search engines”: the pages work for clients as before and disappear from search results within a few days. Client galleries never appear in search engines.
