Google Calendar and the iCal feed
Connect Google Calendar so your sessions and private events see each other, or subscribe to your sessions in any calendar through the iCal feed.
You turn on both integrations in Settings → All integrations, in the “Calendar” category.
Google Calendar
Click “Google Calendar” and connect your Google account. Sync works both ways:
- sessions from Flyp go into your Google Calendar, with the day plan in the event description; rescheduling or cancelling a session updates the event,
- Google Calendar events block your availability: clients can’t book a session online at those times, and the “New session” form warns you about the clash.
Bookings waiting for your decision and dates held until payment don’t go into Google Calendar. They appear there only once they become sessions.
iCal feed
The iCal feed is a private address you add as a subscription in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. Your calendar fetches your sessions from it every few hours.
- In “iCal feed”, click “Generate feed address”.
- Copy the “Feed address” and add it as a subscription in your calendar (the panel shows instructions for each app).
- Decide what the events should show: client names, the session address, internal notes, the session price.
The feed contains sessions only. The address works without signing in, so don’t share it with anyone. If it leaks, click “Regenerate address”: the old one stops working.
Which to choose
Google Calendar if you want private events to block booking times. The iCal feed if you just want to see your sessions on your phone, in any app.
