Session types and packages
Build your offer: session types with online booking rules and the price packages assigned to them.
A session type is a template for your offer, such as “Portrait”, “Wedding” or “Family session”. You manage them in Session types. The session type decides how clients book a date, how long the session lasts and which packages they can choose on the booking page.
New session type
Click “New type”, enter a name and “Add and open editor”. In the editor you set the rest on cards:
- Description visible to clients,
- Session flow: “Single time” or “Day plan” (items of the day, such as getting ready, ceremony, reception),
- Online booking: session length and dates (see below),
- Sample photos: the first one is the tile cover on the booking page,
- Payment schedule: Payment schedule for a session type,
- Visibility on the booking page, Photographer, Photo delivery deadline, Packages and Add-on products.
You can switch the list of types between the “Cards” and “Table” views.
Online booking
On the “Online booking” card you set two things:
- Session length: “Set duration” (the client picks a start time and you set the duration) or “Full day” (the booking blocks the whole day, for example for wedding coverage).
- Dates: “Studio working hours”, “Selected weekdays”, “Specific dates” (for example seasonal mini sessions, added one by one or as a series) or “Client proposes” (no schedule: the client enters a convenient date and you confirm it).
With studio hours and selected weekdays you can also:
- turn on “Let clients suggest another time”,
- set an “Availability period” (“Available from”, “Available until”): the type can then only be booked for days within that period, and it disappears from the booking page once the period ends,
- set “Bookings open”, the day from which clients can book.
Packages
A package has a name, a price, the number of photos included, an extra photo price (used to calculate the surcharge in the gallery) and optional contents visible to the client. You can assign studio-wide packages to a session type (managed in Packages and usable in many types) or create packages for that type only. The client picks one of them when booking. If a package should last a different time than the session type, set its duration next to it in the package list.
A session type without an active package won’t appear on the booking page.
Visibility, archiving, deleting
“Visibility on the booking page” decides whether clients see the session type. You can still choose a hidden type when adding a session in the panel, and an archived one never appears on the page. A type used by sessions or bookings can only be archived (the data stays, and you can restore it anytime). An unused type can be deleted completely, together with its sample photos, package assignments and payment schedule.
