Watermark on gallery photos
Design a watermark in Settings and turn it on in galleries where photos should stay protected until they are bought.
You set up the watermark in Settings → Watermark. In the “Watermark type” field you choose “Text”, “Image” or “Creator”. The Creator gives you the most options and is described below.
Watermark Creator
A layer can be your studio logo, text or your own graphic. For the logo you choose a variant: light (for dark photos), dark (for light photos) or the icon alone. If a variant is missing from your branding, the Creator uses a fallback and tells you so.
Layer placement:
- At the edge: the mark in a chosen spot of the frame; you pick the spot by clicking the preview,
- Repeated: the mark in many places across the photo, the hardest to remove,
- Full frame: a graphic over the whole frame; a low opacity works best,
- Protective pattern: subtle interference across the whole photo, which also makes it harder to use for training AI models.
With sliders you set size, opacity, distance from the edge, density and rotation. The “Discreet signature”, “Logo and name”, “Full protection” and “Logo in the centre” presets are a good starting point. You can check the preview on your own photo or on a sample background (light, dark, mixed).
Where the watermark shows
The mark appears in galleries where the “Watermark on the photos” switch is on (the gallery’s “Appearance” tab). Whether new galleries have it on from the start is set in Gallery defaults. If your studio has no watermark set up, the panel warns you when you turn it on: without a setup, photos reach the client without a watermark.
A photo bought or downloaded by the client always reaches them without the watermark. When you turn the switch off, the client immediately sees clean previews.
Check a photo
The “Check a photo” section lets you upload a file you found, for example online, and check whether it carries your studio’s invisible signature, embedded in the pixels independently of the visible mark.
