Start here: your first 30 minutes in Flyp
Eight steps from a freshly created studio to a booking page, your first session and your first gallery. Each one takes you straight to the right screen.
This guide assumes your studio already exists. If it doesn’t, start with How to set up a studio in Flyp. The order below works for most photographers: first what your clients will see, then your first session. You can skip any step and come back to it later.
1. Studio details (3 minutes)
In Settings → Studio profile, fill in your business and contact details. They appear on the booking page, in emails to clients, in purchase confirmations and in your studio terms. In Branding, upload your logo and pick a colour.
2. Your offer (10 minutes)
In Session types, review the types added in the setup wizard. For each one, add:
- a description your clients will see and the session length,
- at least one sample photo (it becomes the tile cover),
- a priced package, because a session type without a package won’t appear on the booking page,
- a payment schedule, for example an advance payment at booking and the rest before the session.
More: Session types and packages.
3. Working hours and booking rules (5 minutes)
In Availability, set your working hours. The “Your booking page” card at the top shows what is still missing. In “Booking settings”, decide whether every request “Requires approval” or bookings confirm themselves.
4. Studio terms (3 minutes)
In Settings → Terms and privacy, click “Load Flyp template”, complete the text and save. Clients accept your terms with every booking and every purchase. The template isn’t legal advice, so read it before you publish it.
5. Online payments (5 minutes, optional)
If you want clients to pay online, click “Connect with Stripe” in Settings → Payments and payouts. Flyp works without it too: you record cash or bank transfer payments in the session. Details: Online payments with Stripe Connect.
6. See it through your client’s eyes (2 minutes)
The “Booking page” button in Availability opens your page. Check the descriptions, prices and free dates. You can rehearse a booking with a payment, without real money, in a test studio.
7. Your first session and gallery
- Click New session, then pick or add a client, a session type, a package and a date.
- After the shoot, upload the photos in the session details, on the “Photos” tab.
- In Galleries, click “New gallery”, choose the session and send your client the link.
Details: New session and its details and How to create a gallery and send it to a client.
